SEO – a case study on how to get to Number 1 on Google and Yahoo

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become a big business, but still well with search engines rank your website for more information on the basic design of the site, as it comes to money. Here are 5 easy steps, there was a small church site rank # 1 on Google and Yahoo have a budget of zero and minimal effort.

Phase 1 Keywords. To the layman, the words are listed in search of a tag "meta" in the underlying HTML code on every page of yourWebsite. These meta tags are search engines trying to create what words you think of the site owner or "Google" the information the site offers search to find.

The keywords must be relevant to compare the content of each page and search engine keywords with headers and content of the page to confirm their relevance for each search.

Each page of your site should be a separate keyword list based on the content of the page to have. Itno value in the list of hundreds of keywords in meta tags. If keywords are not the contents of each page will be ignored or, at worst as an attempt to deal with the browser and the result in a low-spam list.

Step 2 – Relevant and content readable. A site must be attractive and readable for the public and search engines. Interpret this point in time, Google can not image presentations or Flash, although I am sureare working. This does not mean that you should not use, but you need to balance graphics with text. In other words, the site should make sense without the images and pictures should be used only to improve the impact of the text.

The main content of the first page should contain the main keywords in the first paragraph. This is not invented, but the natural consequence of the common features for the target audience. Where applicable, a "Coming Events" list on the first page (up to a total events are linked) also helps the reader and changes the day before the content.

Step 3 – Headings. Too often ignored, web designers, the H1 and H2 HTML tags, which are designed for search engines, text to say what is a title. The fastest way to create links to relevant is your website in an online directory listing many of which are free. The first entry should be included in Google Local, if applicable. In the case of a church site there are many local communities and church directories directory of websites available.

Social media offers great opportunities for connection. Every time you add new content, such as a new podcast, you shouldannounce the update on Twitter and Facebook, etc. with a link to the site.

As you can see, is about rankings, keywords and links. Deciding which keywords to target, you take these words on the web site meta tag keyword, meta description, contents and positions, and then say that the online world about your site. It is not rocket science or voodoo, and should not be expensive, if the site is well designed. High rankings for your site is only a matter of good design.
